Pacella, Rachael, Sidney Butcher appointed to Board of Education of Anne Arundel County, February 14, 2018.
Snider Comment
There were two members of the public at tonight’s SBAC meeting: the Capital Reporter and myself. I testified during public comments. I observed during my comments that the online video/record of the SBAC’s last public meeting was incomplete and that there was no public notice on the SBAC’s website of this incompleteness. Also without public notice, the online record had been shifted from the previous YouTube website. I also observed that the commissioners had continued to refuse to publish their appointment authorizations on the SBAC website. See my Capital op-ed, “Anne Arundel school board pick may have been invalid,” for more information on this procedural issue.
As for the winner’s application, it may deserve an Anne Arundel and national record for the shortest winning application to run a billion-dollar plus organization with more than 10,000 employees.
“He now works for Whiteford Taylor & Preston LLP in Baltimore.”
This is factually incorrect. Sidney Butcher no longer works there.
