Ruling by Anne Arundel ethics commission is absurd, October 24, 2018.

Snider Comment

For more than a decade the Capital has turned a blind eye to the ethics cesspool that the Anne Arundel Ethics Commission had become. Whatever it took to for the Capital to stop sweeping the Commission’s abuses under the rug should be praised.  Note that the Commission does a reasonably good job policing ethics violations for low level government employees; where it breaks down is policing violations that would be embarrassing for elected officials. Despite appearances to the contrary, it is also sadly deficient in providing transparency and accountability regarding its own performance.
