Odd that the applications were due January 5 but this article announcing the candidates wasn’t published until the afternoon of January 9–four days later. As of the close of business on January 10, no press release announcing the candidates had been posted on the SBAC website. Nor, to my knowledge, was one sent out.

The school system had a pipe burst that flooded the parham building on Sunday, January 7 that took out all email communication in addition to a great deal of weather related issues with School closings. Rest assured no conspiracy theory here.

Thanks for answering my question.

But if you work for AACPS, presumably its PR department, why the anonymity? Anonymity should be reserved for the weak, not the powerful, especially an organization with a $2 million/year PR budget.
