“Schools spokesman Bob Mosier said the system… does not advocate for candidates during the appointment process.”

It’s true that AACPS staff, with the sanction of the superintendent, don’t OPENLY advocate for Board of Education members.  But it’s not true that below the public radar (and the Capital’s coverage) it has not been actively and grossly inappropriately involved in the appointment process.
